Last fall, Xcel Energy employees spent a day volunteering here at the farm in honor of Promise Kept Therapeutic Riding Center. Promise Kept is an equine assisted riding program that operates at Pine Lake Pastures. This spring Xcel Energy has generously choosen Promise Kept to recieve a $5000 grant to help towards the care of the therapy horses!
We are so grateful for this thoughtful contribution to our program. Many of our therapy horses are geriatric, needing special care for feed and supplements. Their age and calm demeanor makes them a perfect fit for working with special individuals diagnosed as differently-abled.
